China Main Index Explained

What is the China Main Index?

The index tracks profitable US-listed Chinese growth stocks that are listed on senior exchanges (NYSE, Amex, Nasdaq). The index is revised quarterly and includes the 40 stocks with the highest market capitalization that meet the following criteria at the beginning of the quarter:

  • Market Capitalization below $1 billion
  • Share Price above $1.00
  • Last two reported quarters must have been profitable
  • Included in the China Tracker
The China Main Index was created on December 31, 2009 and started with a value of 1,000 index points. The index is not weighted.
